Cat ripped tiny piece of carpet how much would it cost to repair?
My cat ripped a tiny piece of the carpet like the size of a poker chip I just want to know how much it would cost to fix. P.S I live in a apartment.

No one can answer that question – prices vary depending upon where live, what type of carpeting it is, how much is damaged, etc.
I doubt you would be able to patch it sufficiently to make it not noticeable. I don’t even know if a professional carpet installer could repair such damage.
If the carpet is a a really long pile carpet, the possibility of hiding the patch would be better.
Go to carpet store with the piece your cat ripped up. If no usable piece is left, you will have to just look through sample books and see if you can find a match. Perhaps a good photograph of the carpet would help you or a salesperson find a match.
Good luck

Cost to repair / replace carpet?
Our dog chewed up a decent size chunk of carpet in our rental townhome. There is chunk pulled out and stripped about 6 inches from the wall in a corner. We live in a rented townhome so I know we’re gonna take a hit to repair or replace it. My question is, can this possibly be repaired by cutting a portion out and just patching it with matching carpet? I know that the right people can make the seam pretty unnoticeable. Or, do you think they’ll make us pay to replace the whole carpet?

admin answers:
Depends on the type of carpet that was installed. Some apts have a cheaper grade carpet in them and some times you just can t make a repair not show . Even a good seam job it may show because getting the exact same carpet you ll have a different dye lot and that sticks out worse than a bad seam. Even if you have a left over scrap pc the installed carpet can be dirty, ( even a cleaning won t get it back to the exact same) sun faded or even worn.
This will all depend on the LL and what he/ she will accept. But be prepared to have to replace the carpet. If you have renters insurance , check into that. GL

Does professional carpet repair work and is it worth the cost?
My 7 month old puppy comes to work with me everyday except Wednesday as I have a long meeting. He’s pretty well mannered and hasn’t chewed on any furniture yet (got him at 8 weeks) but we came home to a roughly 4×2 hole in the upstairs carpet this evening. (The rest of the house has hardwoods).
Original thought was to find something to cover it up, but I Googled “carpet repair” and it looks like you can hire people to do it. Has anyone had luck with this? I have watched a few YouTube videos on the subject as well, but I feel like I’d rather hire out (it sounds like it’ll be under $100) than do it myself if professionals can do it better.

admin answers:
The only hard part of repairing a carpet is finding a piece to patch in. If you don’t have any scraps left over from the installation of the carpet, find something similiar and then cut a piece out of the carpet where you won’t see it, like under the bed or dresser, and use the piece you cut out to patch the hole that is visible to everyone.
Every roll of carpet has slightly different dyes so patches not made with original remnants stand out.

What is the best way to repair a hole in my brand new carpet? Is it expensive?
I was moving a metal file cabinet and sliced a hole about 3 in long by 1 in wide in my 6 month old carpet! What should I do?? How much will it cost to repair?

admin answers:
What I would do is take a piece from an area that does not show trim and fit it then glue it down. You won’t even be able to tell.
