Thomas Questions About Carpet Cleaning

Thomas asks…

need help writing letter to guests announcing carpet cleaning?

I am wanting to write a professional letter to guests letting them know that on certain dates, there will be professional carpet cleaners in the building to clean some guest rooms, and main lobby areas/breakfast room.

How can I word this to sound very professional and friendly and ensure them that managers will be assisting the cleaners to ensure their belongings will not be disturbed, but that they may have their rooms cleaned.

Is there a template somewhere, can someone help?

Dear Guests/Residents,

On (date), carpet cleaners will be on premises to help us maintain the clean environment you have always enjoyed while staying at (company name). We will be working in the main lobby areas/ breakfast room, as well as some guest rooms. Managers will be on hand to supervise and assist cleaners and ensure no personal belongings are disturbed. We love serving you and welcome your comments and suggestions. Please contact (manager name) at (phone number) if you have any concerns.

Thank you for your business.

Sincerely,

(business name)

Update: I agree you should definitely tell the affected guests when they are checking in or before. It would be better for them to know before hand than the day of. Can you possibly have the cleaners come a few times, and clean the hotel by sections and not make reservations in those rooms for one night. I know it will cost money, but some people will not be happy being disturbed like that. If it were just for a few hours, I wouldn’t mind, but some people will.

Carpet cleaning question?

How much do carpet cleaning businesses usually charge per square foot to clean carpets?

Girl4 Questions About Carpet Cleaning

admin answers:

Well, that is a tricky question. I’m a certified master textile cleaner, so I should be able to answer this but it is tricky. Depends on your region. I’m located in the Midwest and I currently charge .35 cents a sq ft. The better thing to ask is what do you get for the money. All carpet cleaning services should provide pre-conditioning of carpet, pre-spotting, post-spotting, cleaning. If you can find a company that will groom the fibers after cleaning and use air movers to help with the dry times you will have hit pay dirt. That is a real professional. Watch out for bait and switch companies that offer 6.99 and 9.99 room specials. You will pay much more than just hiring a professional in the first place. You can find a local cleaner by going to www.iicrc.org and use the consumer section you will be able to enter your zip code and five companies will appear. You will have a better chance of finding a professional here. To be listed on the site you need to have training and and pass exams to become a certified tech. Good luck in finding a company. A reputable company will come out free of charge and give you an estimate first.

Chris Questions About Carpet Cleaning

Chris asks…

Carpet stained pink after “professional” carpet cleaning?

The previous owners of our house had someone clean the carpet and now the carpet has this pink tint in the areas where it has been cleaned.

Does anyone know what happened? What kind of chemicals he may have used to cause this? We’ve tried a ChemDry cleaning service, and even they couldn’t figure out what specifically caused the pink tint and how to get it out.

Homemade Carpet Cleaning Solution?

Does anyone have a homemade carpet cleaner solution? I own a Bissel PowerSteamer. I need to clean my carpets but solutions at the store can be so expensive, especially if u want to clean more than a few rooms at a time.
I don’t want to ruin my cleaner or my carpets, though.
Any suggestion will help.

Use just a little (maybe 1/4 of a cup) of good laundry soap with some Oxy Clean. What ever you use, add the oxy clean. It will make a huge difference. I have used this solution in my carpet cleaner with no problems.
