Try to get in touch with someone in your community about Habitat for Humanity. They can build you a house that is handicap accessible. I know a family who’s daughter became disabled (on a vent, g-tube and things like that). Their house was wayyyy to small for her hospital bed and all her equipment. Habitat for Humanity helped them build a house that was pretty much made just for their daughter. They made sure that she had all the room that she needed for all of her medical equipment and made a ramp for when she got up in her W/C or had to be transported to the Dr by ambulance for check-ups. I am sure that they can help you in some way. Good luck!

Why don’t communities start calling their local deadbeats that are milking the system to the carpet ?
Every Town ,neighborhood has these leeches .They are collecting everything Govt.and walking home every night with a 12 pack under there arms. They work under the table jobs, get fuel assistance, food Card, subsidized housing, free health care etc.(They are as big a problem as the Leeches in the Senate and Congress sucking us dry with Pork Projects.)Why not call them to be present at a Community meeting ,and have them give their plea as to why they deserve Aid each month. Then if a community member has seen them working or whatever ask them” what’s up with that”,why do they deserve help.I would rather see the help go to the working class that are truly in need. The deadbeats have Plasma TV’s ,Cable ,High speed internet, all the toys,4 wheelers,New Cars. What is wrong with the current system?Any Ideas?

I’m a liberal and I know exactly what you mean. The welfare program is a wonderful thing….IF it’s used correctly. It’s supposed to be an aid to help you get back on your feet, not a lifetime crutch.
A girl I was friends with in high school got married, popped out 3 kids and neither adult will work. They live on welfare and it’s crazy the stuff they have. X-Box 360 with about 25 games, a computer, internet, an extensive DVD collection that rivals any video store. Yet, when I run into them in the grocery store, they buy junk food with their food stamps and their kids dress like dirty ragamuffins. Some people just don’t have any pride or common sense. They’ve been on the system for 17 years. It’s disgusting. It wouldn’t be an issue with me if they were unable to work due to physical reasons, but they are both healthy adults.

My daughter has a cough and she had it since we moved into a new house?
She developed a cough about a week after we moved into a new house and it’s been since August. She is 15 months old. It gets better and then worse but it has never completly gone away. We don’t have insurance and can’t afford to take her to the doctor. I think it is just allergies, the previous owners didn’t take care of the carpet and had a dog and cat. There has also been a little mold found. Could it just be allergies? We will be moving soon because of this. How long before it gets out of her system, when we move? I want to take her to the doctor but I don’t really know if it’s necessary since we will be getting out of this enviornment within the next week. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

My daughter has asthma and we moved in with my grandfather in another state and she got really sick. Your baby is probably allergic to something in the house. Get a air purifier replace the carpets and vacuum really good. As for the mold get a spray bottle and fill it with bleach and water. Spray that on the mold. That will kill the mold. Whatever you do do not get a humidifer. That will increase the mold. Make sure you air the house out really good. You also may want to check the paint to make sure there is no lead in it. You can usually tell because the paint in the house will chip. I believe that if you fix these problems you can save on moving. Then find a low cost clinic that goes by your income or you can so to the state office. I know that it can be embarrassing but they have to provide insurance for your baby.
If you need any other suggestions if this is not working you can email me and I would be glad to help you.
