My cat doesn’t do her ‘business’ where she’s supposed to?
We got our cat from this old man who was too old to take care of her anymore. (The cat is not even two years old.)
For two months she was using the litter box, but then she started pooping on the carpet in the dinning room.
So we cleaned the litter box (soap and all) and put fresh litter, and the cat started using the litter box again. But this only lasts for about a week, and then she goes back to the carpet.
And sometimes she goes in the litter box, and sometimes she doesn’t. She’s unpredictable!
We tried locking her on one side of the house (away from the dinning room) with the litter box, and she just poops on the floor, and sometimes she uses the litter box. (pretty much the same result.)
We tried different litters and tried to use a system, but the thing is, we don’t know when the cat will poop in the litter box, and when she won’t.
How do I fix this?
(Sorry if this is confusing.)
Thanks in advance!

A couple of suggestions:
One, she may not like the texture or scent of the litter. Many cats will pee in any litter, but dislike digging in them to poo. If you’re using an ‘alternative’ litter like pine pellets, switch to unscented clumping and see if that doesn’t help.
How often are you scooping? Some cats are very fastidious in their litter box, and must have it scooped multiple times a day (do you like using a toilet that someone forgot to flush?). And some cats require two litter boxes – one for pee and one for poo. Try adding the second box, and scoop as often as you can.
Is there a cover on the box? Take it off. The cover holds the odor in too well, and it offends many cats as their noses are very sensitive. Removing the cover cures this.
If you’ve ruled out the litter brand, and added the second box, then the problem can be constipation. A constipated cat will poo elsewhere as it hurts to poo in the box. First switch her to an all-canned diet as dry is the cause of constipation in cats. If that doesn’t fix the problem, then a trip to the vet is in order.
Cats don’t randomly decide to *not* use the box, she’s sending you a message but you’ve got to figure out just what it is.

to complain or not complain?
hi,i live in a shared accomodation with few other ppl.we r renting it from a common landlord.
there is a girl that moved in at our place,
the day she came she appeared to be weird.
after a week she got 2 seizures and was demolishing the house and then could not remember while i was at work.my flatmates told me abt it.- she also mentioned she could have died, which freaked us out
the second time ,she takes pills to kill herself and i saved her n stayed with her the whole night at the hospital ,i had an exam the next day but still.
the other day she asks me to take her stash .i refused and then she calls the cops n tells them i assaulted her!!!! —-????
there was a big fight in the house.one of my flatmates has stoppd talkiin to me (.well i do not care not anymore)
i informed my landlord abt it.he seems not to care n prefers her more as she is paying more rent for her room. i want to move out but then he is not giving me my advanced rent back n i had seen a really nice place.now it is gone,
he means to say:he is in a buisness.
i decided then to stay,as benefits might stop in april.
i thought not to say anything and go out of her way, i work full time and study full time.
this girl goes 2 times a week to college for 4 hours n takes benefits (sitting all day home n thnking nonsense)
she disturbs me while i have to sleep frm my late shifts with her horrible music.bangs doors.her presence is so negative.
it is just too much,i feel like complaining this to the benefits system.
my mates r full time student n do not get benefit support and look at her taking the piss(srry for my language but seriously her room needs to be viewed-plasma tv,spekers, designer carpet n etc).
should i or should i not??? i do not want to mess up her education but then the other side she has the time to work.
if i should complain abt this nonsense..where to go ,whom to approach or which hotline to dial??

When you say ‘shared accommodation’, I assume this means, bathroom, kitchen, dining, lounge are all shared and you have your own bedrooms….
So, is there a ‘shared accommodation residents get together’ evening? – one where you all sit down to the same meal, or watch a movie – so far this girl seems described in a way that asserts a required distance with a measurable degree of distaste, despite it not seeming like this has been the case for very long (months, rather than as much as a year) – What in terms of ‘outreach’, ‘networking’ &, ‘friendship/community building’, have you done, so she has at least seen you in the same space moving around comfortably and confidently, quietly and respectfully, by way of an example…
Naturally, there’s some social element to all this that could resolve any issues arising and it might be just asking her not to play her music so loud and her doing just that – but there’s also having the same music at an ambient volume coming from a player in the kitchen as everyone filters through at breakfast and gears up for the day ahead, a way everyone enjoys it as a sense of hierarchy or ‘claimant:defendant’ diffuses in favour of solvency….

Is my laptop’s harddrive damaged?
My dell laptop won’t completely turn on. It opens, comes to the log in screen, but after I log in, it either a) freezes at the welcome screen or b) goes to a blank light blue screen and is unresponsibe thereafter.
I tried reinstalling OS and drivers from the cds, but that didn’t work.
It won’t let me do a factory restore, the system just crashes down when I try.
When the system tries to check the disk, the c drive is check fully, but when it tries to check the drive named Recovery, there is an error and it cant be checked.
Two days ago, I deleted a lot of files from my computer. I took care to not delete anything important, but maybe I inadvertently did so. That very night, I almost I dropped my laptop, nudged it with my foot in my sleep and it toppled over. I was a very short fall, from my bed to the carpet, so I didn’t think there would be any damage, but now I’m reconsidering.
don’t know which of these is the culprit, but I’m thinking it was because the harddrive was damaged from the fall? Do the symptoms I’ve described above fit with a damaged harddrive?
Oh, also this is how it fails to do a factory restore: I start the computer, am halfway through the restore, when the blue screen of death flashes for a second and then the computer turns off and restarts by its own, and this happens everytime i go the factory restore route.
I tried the recovery/restore cds, they didnt work.

Let me see if this helps
if a hard drive gets ruined it will not read ANY thing from the hard drive at all. Lets call this mechanical failure. If you can access windows are see a windows load screen..its probable the drive still works
second part is the drive surface. Little tiny (TINY) chunks of this can be ruined but the drive may seem to work perfectly
laptops and even more so Dell laptops SUCK when it comes to fixing issues…
A properly built computer is designed to anticipate hard drive failure ram failure CD drive failure so on so forth…thats the price you pay for the size advantage.
Having said that. When it comes to certain issues, dell sometimes has little tricks up its sleeve
purhaps your harddrive has yet another partition designed to fix the actual platters within the drive. It might do write tests and reformat partitions …real basline stuff that should happen before re-installing the OS which that is what it seems like your solution is…
As delicate as hard drives are they are frighteningly resistant to shock whenthey are not powered on
of course its a coin toss…but they are not as fragile as they seem …something to bare in mind. Even for how tiny the inner workings are…its bizarre i know…but its just one of those things i have experienced
anyways use google and explore the following train of thought and hopefully this helps.
————————————–
if you have data you want backed up…try and remove the harddrive. Buy a universal cable that is a usb cord to 2.5 inch or what ever interface your laptop drive is and dump your files onto a spare PC. Duplicating data is usually priority
then put the drive back into the lap top and ..with the assistance of the internet get to a menu that shows boot options. Usually this is done by spamming the F8 key during the start up . You might stumble upon a repair utility partition on the drive for this type of accident
as well get the brand name of the laptop drive itself and checktheir website for any trouble shooting solutions they have,
and check the dell website as well in case the drive is some wild in-house abomination model..
Good luck!!!

problem in apartments please help need advice?
legal advice past experience anything will help. …..Ok to make a long story short I had a water leak in my apartment from roofing problems. When I just noticed the leak (after few storms) i reported the problem to the maintance guy and the office they said that they were going to see that it would be taken care of. After many phone calls of concern (a month later) no repairs have been made. Anyway besides the dried crusty sheet rock that was crumbling away and falling on my furniture and carpet I had reason to believe there might be mold (Because the sheet rock was not dried after the leak) I had a mold air inspection and the results came back to show that we had high levels of Cladiusporin in our living room (where the leak is) its an allergen and can affect infants and people with weak amune system ( I have a 5 month old) the amount in the home was 30X the amount outdoors. any way the biologist suggested I go and show my pediatritian what my son has been exposded to for all his life and see if there are any symptoms that he could experience. GETTING TO THE POINT my manager quickly moved us into a hotel while they did there own testing they called us today and told us there is no traces of mold of any sort and that it was completely safe to come back home. She told me the results we got from the enviornmental service we used to test for mold were incaccurate and that they must of done the test wrong. We paid $200 to get the test it wasnt a cheap thing they did air and surface testing. I dont know who to believe and what I should do. Can I legally break my lease or do i need to listen to the apartment manager and believe their results.

In addition to the other good advise…. Besides the other actions…. If they show/give you a copy of the report, don’t take it at face value. Verify that the lab is legitimate, check with the BBB, and put the rent money into an escrow account that they wil get only *after* the issues have been adequately resolved so you won’t get an eviction on your rental history.
