James Questions About Carpet Care Services

James asks…

where can I find a high resolution photo of a service professional in a white shirt and dark pants?

I need this picture for an ad. It must be of a young, good looking service professional (carpet care, electrician, etc). He must be wearing a white button-down shirt (long or short sleeve) with dark pants. Thanks!

Nimbus Carpet Care sounds fine. It’s a bit catchy, and witty, yet it also tells you exactly what “Nimbus” does….carpet care!!

It’d be a pain in the butt to change because your existing clients would then have to remember a new name, etc…

Just stick to what you have. Remember, Wal-mart is a huge name now, but not because of stressing over what to name it. Sam Walton just named it after himself!

I’d only change it if you’re going to be doing other duties like laying carpet too – so it’d be Nimbus Carpet and Repair Care…. But if you’re still cleaning carpets, keep it the way it is.

Joseph Questions About Carpet Care Services

Joseph asks…

Should I call child services on my friend?

My boyfriends friend and his girlfriend have 2 kids, and they are such horrible parents. Their house is cluttered full of trash and junk, and what carpet there is they let the babies crawl all over even though it has dog hair and is just dirty. They don’t even take care of them, every time we go over there she’s just on her computer completely ignoring the fact that her son is screaming his head off. should i call social services and report these horrible parents?

Lizzie Questions About Carpet Care Services

Lizzie asks…

Is it required that a landlord replace pet damaged carpet?

Last week we moved into a three bedroom rental home. Before we actually moved in the owner had the carpets cleaned. Well, once the carpets were cleaned this AWFUL urine smell started to appear in the bedrooms. The carpet cleaning company explained that the master bedroom for sure needed carpet replacement as the carpet was ruined and obviously by cleaning the carpets it brought the odor to the surface. She went ahead and replaced the carpets in the one bedroom that was unbarable.

We’ve been here a week now and on the third day I wrote her an e-mail and explained to her another bedroom in the house also has an awful odor and we can’t even open the door to the room. She said she would have the carpet service come back out and take a look to see if that room as well needs replacement carpet but that she can’t afford to have it changed out for at least a month and a half. This is a BIG problem for me as I am 35 weeks pregnant and that was supposed to be the nursery and now we can’t even move our furniture in let alone bare to walk past that room. Why should we have to pay for a three bedroom rental home when we can’t even use one of the bedrooms?

As a landlord if you are aware of pet damaged carpet isn’t it your responsibility to replace the carpets and not move a new tenant in until problems like these are taken care of? Not to mention the fact as we were moving in our furniture last weekend she said ” By the way, the heater is broken we’ll send somebody to fix it tomorrow” Who didn’t end up getting to our house until two days later. And on top of that our water heater is producing barely any hot water which is being replaced a week and a half later after our move in date. I feel very tricked and lied to. What is required of a landlord to fix? I would assume you can’t leave your tenants in a urine filled house until you can afford to replace the carpets????

It seems hardly worth 1,750 dollars when we can hardly get hot water due to a TWENTY year old water heater that keeps us up all hours of the night and a room for my unborn child that we can’t even use.
